    Ladies Choir

  • About Us

    General Information

We are a successful ladies choir located in Pontypool, attracting members from across the region. Formed in 2004, we have evolved to produce a unique sound due to our non-traditional stage formation. We regularly perform at charity events, pensioner's clubs, and residential homes.

All the ladies share a great joy in singing and rehearsals are jam-packed with end-to-end music. We have a varied repertoire consisting of popular ballads, folk songs, easy listening classics, and songs from musical theatre.

She is a primary school teacher with many years of experience, and has directed both school, church, and community choirs. Her enthusiasm is contagious, she brings a freshness and new-life to the choir every week.

Accompanist - Jonathan Bussy B.Ed(Music), MA

An accomplished musician, Jonathan began playing the piano at the age of six showing a natural talent for music. He is headteacher at Nant Celyn Primary School, Cwmbran and juggles a very busy schedule, including directing the school choir and playing in a local band.

Jonathan has recently been awarded the Headteacher of the Year award in the Gwent School Awards.

    Assistant Accompanist - Jack Lockwood

Jack is a very gifted young musician, who plays saxophone, piano, and clarinet. He is still attending school, and plays in various bands and orchestras through Gwent Music. The addition of Jack to the musical team has been a great success.
